On August 28th, State Electric hosted the 1st Annual MissionSAFE Brighter Futures Open at Turner Hill Golf Club. The 95-degree heat didn’t stop everyone from coming out for a great day of golf and fundraising for MissionSAFE.
Founded in 1998, MissionSAFE works with Boston’s highly at-risk youth and their families to gain the skills and confidence to thrive, not just survive, and to improve their community and world. State Electric’s President Ronnie Koning, who is also the chairman of the board of directors at MissionSAFE, decided to put on the golf tournament to raise money that will continue to help make a positive impact on the lives of MissionSAFE’s youth. We had an outstanding turnout of 32 groups, comprised of State Electric’s highly valued clients, vendors, business partners, and associates:
All proceeds from the event went to MissionSAFE and together we were able to raise over $70,000! This money will help fund MissionSAFE’s programs for at-risk youth from economically poor communities in Roxbury and surrounding Boston neighborhoods. On behalf of State Electric, we would like to extend a big thank you to everyone that contributed and hope to see you again next year at the 2nd Annual MissionSAFE Brighter Futures Open!
