Thanksgiving is more than a day of fond memories, parades, football, and special dinners. It’s a day best spent with family, giving thanks, showing gratitude, and helping those out who are less fortunate. Every year State Electric gives families in need the opportunity to have a meaningful and memorable Thanksgiving. This year, State Electric donated 85 Thanksgiving dinners with a turkey and all the fixings to the families of MissionSAFE. Located in Roxbury, MissionSAFE provides year-round programming for Boston’s at-risk youth to promote leadership/life skills development, education, civic engagement, and employment preparation. The recipients of the Thanksgiving dinners were thrilled and appreciative knowing that they too will be able to celebrate the day with their families and friends making lasting memories over a special dinner.
State Electric’s President Ronnie Koning, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at MissionSAFE. It was very gratifying to Ronnie and everyone at State Electric to know they were able to make a difference for so many MissionSAFE families!
