John has more than 40 years of experience in the electrical construction industry. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island, with a degree in Economics, and later completed the Graduate Studies Program in Building Technology at Northeastern University. John’s career in the electrical industry started at Mass Electric Construction. While there, he served in several positions ranging from managing estimates in the office to managing numerous prominent projects at a time. He spent more than 20 years at Mass Electric before venturing into the next step of his career, at Kiewit Power Constructors. During his time there, he was most notably responsible for managing all aspects of a 100-plus mile EPC 345kV double circuit transmission line project.
In 2015, after spending 7 years at Kiewit, John joined State Electric’s executive team as the Director of Business Development. His experience and knowledge have solidified business relationships while becoming an integral part of the support network for our operations teams, including oversight of the estimating, design, and marketing departments. John has brought State Electric a new perspective in many areas of our operations as well as to support networks, that have contributed to a high level of focus to many of our best in class business practices. As a result, he has helped make us more efficient so we can keep up with the ever-expanding challenges we face in our industry.
